Hello Everybody!
I hope everybody is doing well. I hope everybody had a great summer. For my summer, I ended up taking a summer course at my school to further advance in my career. It was an English class that mainly had to do with research. I think that it was one of my favorite English classes, mainly because of my professor and the way he delivered the material. The class was mainly learning and improving our research skills. What I like about this class is that it was mainly hands-on activities and there weren’t many lectures. Therefore, we learned as we practice those skills.
This Fall semester I am taking three Information Technology classes and one English class. I also came to realize that the English class that I took during the summer and the English class that I am taking are somewhat mean to be taken together if one does decide to. They are both research classes. However, one focuses more on the search itself and the other focuses more on the actual writing and format of a research paper.
So far, my classes have been very time-consuming. There has been a lot of reading, note-taking, and online labs. What I dislike most are the labs. They may take up to over an hour to complete and at the end, there are somewhere between five to ten questions. If I get a question wrong, it signally impacts my grade for lab. The good thing is that I can redo the lab. However, I would have to go through the whole entire lab again and that can be very time-consuming. However, sometimes it’s worth it because I get a better grade and at the same time, I become more familiar with the material.
I am enjoying my classes this semester and I hope it continues that way.
It’s nice to see everyone again. Until next time!
